TrusTerra Wins Sustainable Mobility & EV Ecosystem Award at Times Internet Ecopreneur Awards 2026
TrusTerra, India's first AI-backed used electric vehicle marketplace, has won the Sustainable Mobility & EV Ecosystem (Corporate) category at the Times Internet Ecopreneur Awards 2026.
Now in its second edition, the Times Internet Ecopreneur Awards recognise organisations across more than 25 categories combining measurable environmental impact with scalable, future-ready business models. This year's jury included former Renewable Energy Secretary Bhupinder Bhalla and urban planning expert Rajneesh Sareen, alongside other sustainability leaders and industry veterans.
TrusTerra was recognised for its work building the infrastructure layer that India's used EV market has lacked. Through TruEV Score, an AI-driven battery health and valuation metric, TerraCash, an instant-sell platform, and TerraBid, a certified dealer auction system, the company addresses the trust gap that has kept resale penetration in India's EV market below industry expectations even as new EV sales accelerate.
“This award recognises a problem most of the industry has not started solving yet,” said Madhu Reddy, Co-Founder and CTO of TrusTerra. “India's EV transition will not hold if the used market stays opaque. We built TrusTerra to close that gap, starting with the two-wheeler and three-wheeler segments where standardised resale infrastructure barely exists.”
The used EV resale gap is particularly stark outside passenger vehicles. Commercial three-wheeler resale, in particular, remains almost entirely absent from India's competitive landscape, with most existing platforms built for transactions rather than trust.
“Winning in a category called EV Ecosystem, not just EV manufacturing, tells us the industry is starting to see resale as infrastructure and not an afterthought,” said Saurabh Arora, Co-Founder & CBO, TrusTerra. “That shift is what we have been building toward since day one.”
TrusTerra raised a pre-seed round backed by Finvolve and India Accelerator, with GrowthCap Ventures as both an investor and ecosystem partner. The company continues to expand its dealer, OEM, NBFC and bank partnerships as it scales TruEV Score across new Indian cities.
